Davon Magwood is a dedicated working-class father of three, guided by the moral principles of Mr. Rogers and the work ethic of Franco Harris. He not only seeks out “helpers” but also aspires to be one himself, recognizing the effort required to make an impact.

 

His interest in politics began as a child during the heated 2000 election between George W. Bush and Al Gore, and he appreciates Gore's gracious acceptance of defeat, which allowed the nation to move forward. After bringing the Y and G program to his city school, he learned to write and bills, ultimately becoming the Youth and Government PA Governor by a narrow margin. Raised by single mother, Davon stepped up early in life, working his way from dishwasher to sous chef in restaurants, gaining valuable insights into hard work and collaboration.

 

Alongside his culinary career, he volunteered for political campaigns and community initiatives, including Easter basket drives for mothers in shelters and local election judging.
